How we helped attract $100 million in investments

A startup team that collaborates in the field of computer vision and robotics innovations.

We recently closed a rare position Computer Vision Engineer into one International company. There were quite a few difficulties: from the specifics of the project to its position and its “exotic” nature in the IT market. Despite this, just 2 weeks after the search started, the candidate found by our IT recruiter accepted the offer and successfully joined the client's company.

Challenge

One of our clients is a startup developing a streaming platform.
The project managers raised investments and wanted to get the most expert Computer Vision Engineers on the market.

Recruitment difficulties

  • Territorial location
    The CV department consisted of Russian-speaking employees, but the company itself was based in Europe. The client wanted a candidate with perfect knowledge of English and Russian, while living outside the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, which significantly reduced the candidate funnel.
  • Narrow profile
    The customer preferred to see candidates' experience in robotics or developing technologies for virtually trying on clothes.
  • The project
    The client wanted to see experts from large companies in the team, and their project was a classic startup where all processes were built in conjunction with product implementation.

Recruitment process

Together with the client, an ideal portrait of the candidate was formed.
On the first day of work, our recruiters identified search sources and also created a list of “donor” companies from the areas represented by the client.

In the first working week, recruiters presented 4 candidates with whom they promptly scheduled an interview. One of the candidates in the funnel not only had deep expertise in CV technologies, but was one of the developers of the OpenCV library.

Of course, a number of companies wanted to hire such a valuable employee, which created a number of difficulties for our recruiters.
Together with the customer, we carefully thought out a communication plan with the candidate at all stages of the interview, which would convince him of choosing the right offer for us.

The result of our work

Within 10 working days, we completed all the necessary steps; our recruiter was constantly in touch with the candidate, creating a trusting relationship and demonstrating our desire to see him in the team.

In the final, the candidate chose our company, despite a large number of other interesting offers.
