System Analyst Recruitment

Closing a position as a systems analyst can take considerable effort and time to find a candidate who meets all the requirements and is able to successfully cope with tasks in a constantly changing technological environment. We close these positions in Invista on the stream; we want to share one of these cases in this article

Customer request

The customer was expanding the team and required several system analysts to join the staff. Despite the fact that the profession of system analytics is not the rarest in the IT market, the vacancy still had a number of features:

  • work experience in state-owned companies;
  • at least 3 years of experience in system analysis;
  • specialized education;
  • the candidate's actual location in Moscow. Moscow.

Difficulties encountered

  • Five recruitment agencies and an internal HR manager worked on this vacancy, so there was a fairly long stop-list (more than 300 hours);
  • The position included a test task — IT candidates are usually not very willing to apply for vacancies with such requirements, which raises some concerns. Moreover, according to a number of applicants, the task itself was rather difficult and involved a tight time frame.
  • The candidate was needed from Moscow, as all development took place offline.
  • Due to the work of several providers, the company faced difficulties in quickly processing the flow of candidates, which led to protracted stages and a long wait for feedback after interviews. At the same time, all participants in the process were aware of the risk of losing candidates during the negotiations. Some applicants, waiting for feedback after a technical interview (of which there could be two), lost interest in the vacancy. There were cases when candidates, without waiting for an answer on their candidacy, accepted offers from other companies.

Recruitment process

Nevertheless, the customer offered adequate conditions: a competitive salary, an extended VHI, a bonus component for the year, and the opportunity to work on a complex and useful product.

Taking into account these requirements and a large stop list, our recruiter decided to prioritize Linkedin and specialized telegram chats for system analysts when searching for candidates. It was in this chat that we managed to find a candidate who the customer liked and received the offer.

The result of our work

After 3 weeks of active search, we found a candidate who had significant experience in system analysis, had the appropriate education and worked for a large outsourcing company where the main clients were state-owned enterprises and organizations. One of his projects concerned the automation of industrial enterprises, which was a plus for our client.

The candidate was looking for opportunities for professional growth and new challenges, which went well with the requirements of our vacancy: working with large customers from the Russian Federation, a wide range of tasks and the prospect of working in an innovative environment were key factors in attracting his attention. Our experienced recruiter created a communication atmosphere in which the candidate did not pay attention to other proposals and was fully focused on our project. Together, all these factors contributed to the rapid closure of the vacancy.

Due to the long stop list (over 300 hours) and 5 agencies, it was not easy to find an experienced systems analyst in Moscow, but we completed this challenge in just three weeks.

This case demonstrates our team's ability to effectively and quickly find highly qualified IT specialists, even under difficult conditions and specific requirements. We are always ready to help your business find the best specialists to achieve high results.
